A lovely, quirky lodge, Beautiful Dartmoor walks on your doorstep

Nice cottage.

It has beeen such a relaxing 6 nights for me and my husband. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Our host was lovely lady who welcomed us with my favourite chocolates. She gave us a lot of privacy although was always there for any help or anything we needed. Her grandson was the cutest thing ever. He came around in the afternoon to say Hello and we loved his company. The highlight of my holiday was the lake, I called it the pebble beach. We went there to have a swim and sock in the sun many times, it was such a blessing to have it so close by. The cabin is a very imaginative place and we loved it. Will honestly come back.

A great service, with no problems. The staff particularly in the local shop were most helpful and polite. You can't beat the personal touch in my opinion.

We had a really good weekend here. The whole place was very spacious and well equipped and well prepared for us. For those with asthma be careful as the duvets and some of the pillows are feather filled, but our group had no problem whole there. The enclosed garden was great and the kids loved the swing seat. The road up from St. Bees is single track with passing places and a steep hill up and down. Quick to get to the lovely beach area.

Definitely an ‘idyllic apartment’ within a beautifully renovated Georgian property. Perfect location with views over the bay and within private grounds - very tranquil. The apartment is spacious, having everything you may need for a comfortable stay. Ideal location for walking, with many starting from Arnside itself. Ideal place to rest, recharge and re-energise!

Best holiday yet at Dovecotes, Metfield, Suffolk booked through Holiday Cottages. Lovely peaceful village, fabulous accomodation and facilities and our greyhound loved his safe enclosed garden. Thank you to our host Lesley we had a wonderful time and will book again soon.

We arrived on the Friday evening and were delighted with the property, especially the outside seating area, and the surrounding area. However on Monday morning at 8am 3 diggers moved onto the land at bottom of garden and began building work for a bungalow. It was impossible after that to have a peaceful holiday so we had to return home.

Thank you Lucy and Dave for a warm welcome to your exceptional house. We have had a super family time celebrating our son's graduation in Newcastle.

The weather has been perfect for eating outside, enjoying the hot tub and lovely walks into Lanchester and the surrounding area.

The house was perfect for us. We all enjoyed time together in the open plan dinning / kitchen / conservatory area, together with the well-equipped outdoor space. We had some lovely meals on the homemade table outside and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen.

Everything was clean, there was attention to detail ensuring that we had a lovely time.

Easy to use web site, accurate description of property. Photographs reflected the current condition of the property. Clear instructions about the booking, helpful reminders regarding payments. Good clear instructions as to where the property was located and route to take to get to it.

A wonderful holiday cottage in an excellent location to visit Herefordshire and southern Shropshire. The property is high standard and very well equipped. It has a fabulous kitchen with all mod cons and great work space. We loved sitting outside on the patio mornings and evenings planning or reviewing our day trips. All in All an excellent stay.
